A lot of "nothing" in those unsealed Depp trial documents, despite MSM going bonkers over alleged "shocking new claims"

I wanted to take a “breather” this month before football season begins with all the “speculation” about how a Davante-less Aaron Rodgers will perform, although some have pointed out that the Packers are 7-0 in games without Adams and Rodgers has an overall 119 QB rating in those games, including his only “perfect” 158.3 rating in a game.

But no, we have to talk about the Depp case again after the unsealing of 6,000 pages of pre-trial documents. Since the trial, Johnny Depp has been on tour with Jeff Beck, released a record album, sold the original portrait artwork he painted himself for $3.6 million, and is in pre-production for a film in France. What is Amber Heard doing? Well, she passed on to TMZ a few shots of her shopping at an upscale TJ Maxx and an expensive grocery store in the Hamptons. What we see is Depp busy making money from his art, and Heard spending money she allegedly doesn’t have. We also see Depp being embraced by female fans of all ages in various European countries while on tour, while Heard is back here with her sad sack crew, like Eve Barlow, Michele Dauber and Kat Tenbarge.

But back to the documents, it’s a nothing burger that even the attorney’s quoted in desperately pro-Heard Newsweek admitted probably won’t help Heard win on appeal. Many MSM outlets have latched upon a Daily Beast article, which as pointed out here by LegalBytes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOwQ6XTbJPs, is by someone merely cherry-picking, out of context, random statements about the inclusion or exclusion of evidence or testimony made by Heard’s attorneys; they are not “facts,” just an attempt to “confuse” the issues and forget that it was a jury that decided this case based on the facts.

In the documents contain "preemptive" motions by Heard's team to exclude what they called "irrelevant personal matters." These include the "reality show" pool scene which proved that Whitney perjured herself on the stand when she claimed her sister never "hit" her. There was the fear that Depp’s team would bring up Heard’s time as an “exotic dancer”—i.e. stripper—and a "paid escort"--which of course suggests prostitution. But the Heard team wanted to bring in “evidence” that Depp had “erectile dysfunction.” Depp allegedly wanted to bring into evidence nude cell phone shots, possibly the ones Heard sent him while he was filming The Lone Ranger; oh just awful—except that this would have been evidence that Heard didn’t have anything to “hide,” like bruise marks, and that people allegedly suffering from PTSD normally don’t do these kind of things.

Much is being made of the fact that Depp refused a psychological evaluation by that idiot doctor David Spiegel; the judge correctly ruled that Heard was required to submit to such an examination by Depp’s team because she was claiming PTSD and other psychological harm by Depp (which if one views the 2016 deposition, Heard is clearly not “suffering” from anything but her own arrogance), and while we may presume that Depp also suffered psychological damage, he was only claiming harm to his reputation and livelihood, and thus he did not have to submit to an “examination” of his psychological state—which as we could see from Dr. Spiegel’s nonsensical testimony about his “impressions” and Dr. Hughes’ reliance on faulty logic and incorrect interpretations of questionable data, it would have been negligence on Depp’s attorneys’ part to allow that.

Another bone of “contention” was the Heard team’s claim that the audio presented in evidence was “doctored” or edited for effect, a claim which the mainstream media is helping to carry the water for. It should be obvious why the Heard team didn’t want this evidence introduced, because it was the clearest evidence that Heard was the abusive partner in the relationship. The Heard team could have used the “context” parts of the audio if they wanted to, but those would have only bolstered the impression that Heard was psychotic; they already wasted enough of their allotted defense time to waste more of it playing, say, two hours of Heard telling Depp to “stop poking me” and “You’re killing me” outside his daughter’s home whom he was trying to visit, knowing it was a pointless effort to be a part of the “solution” that for a person of Heard’s “feeling good about feeling bad” nature was a truly exhausting exercise in futility.

Also in the documents but not mentioned by the Daily Beast was the evidence that despite her later denials, Whitney endured years of abuse from her sister. It is interesting to note that she suffered the same abuse (or “punishment”) as her sister did by their father, but her personality was 180 degrees different that Heard’s. In videos we still see Heard being on at least civil terms with her father (usually seen wearing a cowboy hat), and it is clear that behaviorally she took after him, and he was in no position to criticize her abusive behavior toward Depp (or any of her other relationships).  The differences in personality between Heard and her sister does suggest that Heard had underlying psychological issues, and unlike Whitney, Heard took multiple anti-psychotic medications to go along with her ongoing substance abuse.

On the other hand, we may recall how Camille Vasquez pointed out in her cross examination that the photos of Depp passed out after alleged substance abuse incidents would more credibly be interpreted as showing that his substance abuse caused something other than him being abusive toward Heard.

Another interesting tidbit: not allowed into evidence was that the therapist who testified to "mutual abuse"  by both parties in fact would not support Heard seeking a TRO because it was "improper," because it implied that Heard was not an abuser in the relationship but solely a "victim," which was entirely false. As we heard on those audio tapes, it was Depp who was trying to "get away," and it was Heard who wouldn't let go. In fact the filing of the TRO was probably Heard's vindictive response to Depp deciding it was "over" because of her abusive behavior.

The documents also show that Depp’s team  wanted to bring up the death of a friend of Heard’s named Logan in a car accident when she was still a teenager, a case still shrouded in “mystery.” If this involved Depp instead, you know there would be a Dateline episode devoted to “uncovering” the “mystery.” What we know is that Heard’s Texas driver’s license was suspended for four years, and that there is a mug shot of her for an arrest when she was 17. Heard was allegedly “devastated” by the death of this friend; she blamed “God” for it, quit high school, left Texas for California, took a jobs as an “exotic dancer” before her “sexy” looks eventually got her into Hollywood, despite her, uh, “acting ability.” Maybe she left because she couldn't face the truth and she didn't want to be in a place where people knew what she had done? The true story behind Heard’s four year license suspension is under seal (or in heavily redacted documents) by court order because she was a “juvenile” at the time, so we can only speculate what she did that was so serious that she was not permitted to legally drive a vehicle for all those years.

Also left out of the Daily Beast article was the exclusion of testimony by Jennifer Howell about how she encountered a distraught Whitney exclaiming how Heard had “done it now” and that her sister had cut off Depp’s fingertip. Whitney was supposedly a witness to this, and Howell’s testimony on this was probably regarded as “hearsay,” so why it would be considered such makes no sense if Whitney told her this. Also not mentioned was the numerous email back-and-forth, where Depp’s attorneys accused Heard’s team of stalling tactics and threatening to get relief from the judge unless Heard’s team turned over documents that were already long past the dates they had been ordered to so do by.

There are other items, such as evidence used by Heard in the UK trial was not used in the Virginia trial because it was false evidence, such as  painting that Heard claimed that Depp destroyed, but turned up at auction later. Why were the therapist's notes that so much was made of after the trial not introduced at the trial by Heard's team? Because the notes said things like Heard was "proud" of initiating violence against Depp?

In any case, we should remember that Heard’s team wanted these documents kept under seal, which the judge denied. While the MSM is trying to paint these documents as reflecting poorly on Depp, they don’t really, and there is plenty there that could be said to reflect poorly on Heard and her case as well. It’s all attorneys just throwing things at the wall and seeing what “sticks.” What “stuck” is what made it into the trial, and that is what people should take from this, not the continuing effort by the MSM to salvage not just Heard’s reputation, but its own, from its own fault. No, that hashtag should read AmberHeardDoesNotDeserveAnApology.

An "apology"??? Read this article before you still think she "deserves" one. I don't think any story about Depp is in the same league:

The bottom line was that this was Amber Heard not taking her anti-psychotic medications and roping people into her truly twisted world, including not just Depp but Elon Musk. In fact, it's easier to admire Depp's ability not only to sever himself from Heard unlike many others caught in her web, but the fact he was able to publicly expose her in a trial that only scratched the surface of Heard's bizarre Eyes Wide Shut world; no wonder she was "bored" with Depp's "old men" friends who just wanted to play guitars.

As Judith Newman observed in Los Angeles Magazine, the MSM demonstrated a narrow-minded, gendercentric inability to learn the lessons that those on social media learned from actually watching the trial—that “the verdict actually marks a powerful moment of inclusion for all abuse victims and survivors.” That's the only thing useful to be found in those unsealed documents, if the MSM allowed itself to see it, instead of submitting to pressure from activists groups.
