Sorry, BuzzFeed: The only "gut punch" in the Depp verdict is the one to the belly of lies

Johnny Depp testified that it was pointless to try to find a “solution” to Amber Heard’s constant complaints because her arguments were “circular,” and always ended up in the same place as they started. It is that “feeling good that about feeling bad” syndrome that just makes the person on the receiving end feel “bad” all the time. This is the kind verbal abuse that is not the “what did I do now?” kind but the “what is this stupid argument about?” variety. During the trial Heard explained text messages and talked about how  that she was “concerned” about Depp’s substance abuse (which she was guilty of as well, and which she obviously exacerbated in him), but in those audio clips we never hear her talking about that, only the constant ear-splitting sound of her self-serving whines.

Likewise, the “arguments” of Heard supporters—even those from allegedly “educated” journalists in the mainstream media—are one constant whine, and it’s like having an “discussion” with a brick wall, and every time you try to talk sense to them, your words just keep bouncing back to you in an incomprehensible anagram that forms their own “argument.” It’s always the same thing over and over again. I turned on my phone yesterday and there was a story from BuzzFeed, where the more outlandish trial-embellished claims by Heard (who was diagnosed with “histrionic personality disorder”) were, the more “believable” they were. There had to be some "grain" of truth to be found somewhere hidden within those stories, even if they were mostly lies.

Of course one must get the opinion from the “experts” who promote gender victimology, and according to the ones BuzzFeed found, it was a “gut punch” to “survivors” that  Depp is seeing somewhat of a career resurgence while the jobless Heard’s former party pals are “ghosting” her, which shows how shallow her “friendships” are to begin with. At present Depp is making money in film, art and music since a trial that found that Heard had in fact defamed him with her 2018 Washington Post op-ed in collusion with the ACLU—all three of whom cynically thought it was a great PR stunt to further their profile and/or monetary agendas to beat-up on an A-list actor.

Since the trial we have seen that Heard’s diehard supporters are enraged that Depp has had the audacity to act like he won the trial and moved on with his life, with millions (maybe billions)  of people actually believing that the verdict was just. But as YouTuber Frank Valchiria commented in regard to "outrage" over Depp's "creepy" Moonman appearance at the MTV video awards show...

...it doesn't matter what the MSM thinks; Depp's cool and the people complaining about this are not. Kat Tenbarge (who calls herself a "journalist") and Eve Barlow are definitely not "cool"--and don't understand that people are laughing at them and their tiresome commentary, not JD. Whitney (?) called it "disgusting," but of course she is mad; what did she get out of lying for her sister but a reputation as someone who couldn't stand up for her own self-respect?  Here she looks like she never heard anyone tell her sister to shut-up before:

On the other hand, we see Heard still lying and spending money she allegedly doesn’t have, but for the fanatics for whom it is not important if she is telling the truth or not, it feeds into their own egos that her lies for a time took down a “powerful” man. Even for Tasya Van Ree, who witnesses saw her be physically abused by Heard in a public setting—and who knows what happened behind closed doors—saw protecting their “lifestyle” from being scrutinized to be more important than her own safety.

The vast majority of people who heard the evidence were, like the jury, solidly on the side of Depp, and see the post-trial efforts of the mainstream media to manufacture doubts as the expected reaction of a stunned MSM, particularly in regard to the unsealed documents, here broken down and summarized by Swoop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cXJWsJYJbpM in a manner that makes sense as to why there was little that would have provided enlightenment to either side.

Instead of being "objective," the MSM was cowed by activist politics, and could not accept being so mistaken in its expectations despite its efforts to mold the narrative in Heard’s favor. It is impossible for them to admit to being fooled by a pathological liar, that there can be any circumstance in which a man can be the victim of a female abuser. There can be no recognition of two completely incompatible personalities that would determine who would be the likely perpetrator and who would be the likely victim. So desperate and dishonest are these people that they resort to click-bait videos that are meant to attract Depp supporters but instead are pro-Heard rants, because they know that have lost most people.

The domestic violence “experts” in  the Buzzfeed article are not quite as “expert” in their subject as they think, it’s all about personal politics; when they “concede” that men can be victims, it is always by another man, not by a woman. They don’t “see”—or hear in those audio tapes—that when Depp sensed trouble and there was no “talking” out of it, he sought to escape, just he had learned to cope with his mother's abuse. Heard on the other hand did not learn from the abuse she took from her father, but sought to punish others in revenge for the past that in her fantasies she imagined they were committing on her still—even if it meant destroying people, even those who imagined she was their “friend,” let alone life partner.

For someone of the “borderline” personality issues that Heard had, being “physical” was a perfectly acceptable option; it was done to her as a child, and it was only “fair” that she do it to others. One thing that people don’t mention about that kitchen cabinet video is that we hear Heard wondering what Depp is mad about, because she hadn’t “started an argument” already that morning. He intimates that she doesn’t care what he’s mad about, that all she cares about is herself anyways, so why ask. That smirk we saw on her face tells us even in this allegedly “violent” episode she felt no fear of Depp, that she was in “control,” that the Heard we saw in the 2016 deposition was the real Heard, not the one who “cried” one minute, but the one who turned smug and ice cold the next.

Thus Buzzfeed and the mainstream media in general seems unaware that it is preaching to a minority of people committed to a false narrative simply on the basis of a “believe all women” victimology, driven mainly by women in the media who are themselves driven by the motivation that they can only “elevate” themselves by taking down men. And some of these people are truly "borderline" personalities to say the least, and being "educated" doesn't seem to help:

Despite the efforts of the mainstream media and her various anti-male supporters on social media, it hasn’t helped Heard much. Note again that Heard doesn’t seem to have any real “friends”—only party pals who as mentioned haven’t returned her calls, and people like Eve Barlow (who "Stef the Alter Nerd" discovered used to be a Depp fan until he stopped returning her calls) and her ilk who don’t have a shred of objectivity, and find Heard useful as focal point for their current self-serving agendas.

Heard’s own failings as a human being in a way actually acts in her favor with these people, because the energy it takes to ignore the truth—the lying, the confession of engaging in physical violence, even the actual testimony of an outsider to a previous incident of physical violence—is expended on creating a black hole that the truth is sucked into before it could be recognized as a “thing.” It is also like having a discussion with someone sarcastically shouting over what you have to say so they don't hear it--kind of like MADtv's Vancome Lady.

Of course, few people following the case are playing their game, and refused to be either silenced or kept in ignorance as Heard’s supporters choose to be. The fact remains that she lost the case and probably 95 percent people who followed the case believe that karma finally caught up with Heard, and she only got what she deserved for being a self-serving narcissist for whom inventing an alternate reality was a way of life. She had her “freedom of speech” heard loud and clear in the Virginia trial, no one deprived her of that. It was just that you don’t have the freedom to lie in a courtroom; jurors especially don’t take kindly to someone who keeps telling obvious lies while looking them right in the face as if they are fools.

What makes these Heard supporters so pathetic that didn’t even try to hear what even the jury in the case heard, a jury that wasn’t fooled by Heard’s testimony (completely different from her completely smug, evasive behavior in the 2016 deposition), but made their decision on the facts, unlike the UK judge who simply took Heard’s testimony as “truth” while admitting that he was completely unmoved by the evidence against her—which of course defines Heard supporters as well. The hypocrisy is simply too great to bear; after the Virginia trial, Gabby Hinsliff in The Guardian asked the absolutely hair-pulling question “Was it really too much for Amber Heard to be listened to without prejudice?” Depp could be asking that same question of the mainstream media for the past six years about its treatment of himself; Hinsliff implied that Depp couldn’t have won simply on the evidence, and this was of course a smear on the jury.

I was watching a Series 8 episode of the very funny British sitcom Shelley, starring Hywel Bennett as the erudite slacker title character. The episode, “The Day of the Reptile,” skewers the tabloid The Sun for its unethical reporters passing sleazy, salacious gossip as “truth,” feeling free to print it merely because they had “proof” that someone had said it.  Of course it was The Sun that was the defendant in the UK trial, and given the fact that the judge’s son worked for the tabloid, the argument could be made that the judge himself was complicit in The Sun’s crimes against the truth. Rupert Murdoch owns the tabloid, just as he does The New York Post and Fox News; is it not interesting how “news” organizations that are right-wing editorially are the most conscientious purveyors of sleaze and gossip, completely unmindful of the truth?

Of course one can also accuse Heard supporters of engaging in the same, since their methods are the similar; hell, one can compare Heard and her supporters to Trump and his--they can't accept that they lost and are falling back on conspiracy theories. One may ask if the WP op-ed was allegedly not specifically about Depp as Heard claimed, why did the The Sun think that they could print such a reprehensible headline unless Heard gave her personal approval for it--and in her case, with unplausible deniability.

Depp was the real survivor in this relationship, in more ways than one. He survived both the mental and physical brutality of Heard, finally in the end realizing that she was beyond redemption and would never change. It was only when Heard feared that Depp was going to announce he was leaving her, that she immediately sprang into action to preempt that announcement by making the claims of abuse that she knew that she herself was guilty of, and did so in a public fashion by feeding it to TMZ with that “bruise” on her face that only appeared almost a week after she had last seen Depp, and witnesses said they had not seen before.

In the end, the only “gut punch” that is being endured is the one going straight into the belly of lies. The mainstream media is clearly going out its mind that Depp wasn't "re-cancelled" and the public in general has been unimpressed by its increasingly hysterical attacks on him.
