Give Biden some credit: unlike Trump, he is showing what real leadership actually looks like

Actress Susan Sarandon may not know what a real leader looks like—she has been “advising” people on social media not to vote for the “do-nothing” Democrats because of the failure to pass a sufficiently “progressive” agenda, which can only be done if Democrats get more votes to overcome the two blockheads in the Senate, and not lose the House—but the truth of the matter is this country is much better off with Joe Biden as president than a “lame duck” Donald Trump who without the concern  of reelection would be capable of who-knows-what kind of monstrous mischief.

Of course there are those who would disagree, like people such as this who readily admit to being ignorant and uninformed, who claim not to be “sheep” yet are willing to “trust” a man like Trump merely because he is as dumb as they are https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=3nzuuV_dL_g:

But why would anyone with any self-respect want to be lumped in with the likes of that, which makes a mockery of Republican voter suppression laws that only seek to allow people like this to vote while making it harder for sensible people to do so. If Trumpists were only allowed to vote, Sen. Mitch McConnell and company wouldn’t be able to have this photo-op showing solidarity with Ukraine’s president in defense of democracy…

...because Trump would have allowed Putin to steamroll into Ukraine because it was “Europe’s problem.” Trump’s delusion that he could have “persuaded” Putin not to go through his plot to reestablish the former Soviet Union was no more likely than his preventing an even worse humanitarian disaster in Afghanistan, since he would likely have banned refugees from entering this country, as decreed by Stephen Miller. If the EU had acted on its own against Putin’s unjust invasion, the U.S.’ international standing would likely have been irreparably damaged.

McConnell probably realizes that being identified  with Trump supporters like this…

...and this...

…will likely be seen by voters who at least appreciate the leadership that Biden has shown, compared to Trump’s “America First” failures, that the U.S. needs to step up against tyranny now if it expects its democratic allies to support it in other endeavors, such as curtailing the ambitions of China, which like Putin’s Russia does not care about the concerns or rights of its neighbors—it just takes what it wants from countries “friendly” to the U.S. and threatens this country’s access to natural resources, which China would use as an economic blackmail tool just as Russia is trying to do.

Of course there are those like Sen. Rand Paul who believe that “We can’t save Ukraine by dooming the U.S. economy,” which is a lot of hogwash; the U.S. doesn’t need Russian oil and gas, and the EU will eventually find alternative sources since buying from Russia hasn’t changed its behavior. For now, McConnell backs the administration’s actions in Ukraine, saying “They’re only asking for the resources they need to defend themselves against this deranged invasion,” and it seems just a matter of time when somebody turns on somebody in Russia as long as Ukrainians are supplied sufficient Western arms that are superior to their Russian counterparts.

Republicans have always portrayed themselves to be the “defenders” of democracy here and around the world, but voter suppression laws have only proved that their “preference” is for authoritarian rule at home—and whether they “liked” it or not, they grudgingly went along with Trump’s personal dislikes and grudges that informed his domestic and foreign policy, disregarding any alternative input from those more grounded in reality. Voters should remember that.

The U.S. is no longer a manufacturing powerhouse, with even well-known U.S. brand name products being made in other countries. Trump’s tariffs didn’t persuade U.S. manufacturers to relocate production in the U.S.; it just increased prices of imported product. In foreign policy, Trump exposed the U.S. to shame and embarrassment every time he opened his mouth, as he did here during a UN speech:

For those who have forgotten what real leadership is, meaning taking the moral stand and doing what is right in the face of tyranny, Biden is either reminding people of what that is—or for those who wish not to see, they can only respond with juvenile four-letter words because ignorance and stupidity is elemental to Trumpism:
